Introduction

How do the brain and the mind learn and what does that knowledge mean for teachers when planning their lessons? The Science of Learning (SoL) offers perspectives from evidence-based cognitive research that can be translated into more effective teaching practices.

The brain needs to be engaged to acquire new knowledge, however, only engagement will not make students learn, that’s why they need to build knowledge over time so that they can consolidate learning and make it more readily available whenever they need to use it.

In this webinar, we will look at ENGAGE-BUILD-CONSOLIDATE (EBC), a framework based on the Science of Learning (SoL), and how it can be applied to lesson planning and delivery.
