The Elusive Art of Feedback
Location:
Online
Date:

Introduction
In the first workshop of the series we will examine some of the stereotypes many of us have with regard to giving feedback to others. We will look at what constitutes effective feedback, and why the “sandwich” approach is increasingly coming under criticism.
We will also talk about why giving feedback might be a difficult experience for both sides, and how to counteract this by following a few simple guidelines.
We will analyse a few examples of feedback given by teachers to see how effective it was.
We will also discuss peer feedback as a motivating and engaging alternative to teacher-led feedback.
