This workshop will guide both the novice and experienced teacher to an understanding of what differentiation is and how to make small changes to their teaching practice to embed aspects of it. We will see how we can get a deeper knowledge of our learners and how we can manage our online and face to face classrooms to create Tomlinson’s ‘small world’ where, ‘everybody is taken into account, everybody has a voice, and everybody has a space.’

On our journey, we will consider lesson planning, frameworks and some examples of task adaptation. We will touch on progress and feedback. Most importantly our focus will be on stretch and support for students. The workshop will be peppered with practical, ready to use examples throughout.
