It’s common knowledge that stories help us learn best but in the classroom we’re always looking for something that sparks our imagination as quickly as possible. Enter the humble TV advert! Adverts and campaigns are bold, bright and often beautiful and we thoroughly recommend using them both face to face and in the virtual classroom!

In this session we’ll show you how we use two very different child and adult friendly adverts to teach multiple skills, systems and functions in memorable and meaningful contexts. If advertising firmly places products and messages into our minds, why shouldn’t we use them to help our students practise and internalise English too?
