Welcome to Online Learning
If you are new to our website, we would like to introduce you to Gallery Teachers Online Learning and the LMS (Learning Management System) system that will be used throughout our website to support your learning journey with us.
We have compiled a list of FAQs below which should answer most of your questions. If you require additional help, please do not hesitate to let us know. Remember, we are here to assist you whenever you need it!
We value our TEFL community. That’s why, every month, we offer free workshops to our mailing list subscribers.
After you have subscribed to our mailing list, you will start receiving Gallery Teachers notifications via email, including coupon codes that will enable you to access free courses and workshops, discount and offers.
John Ruskin once said “There is no such thing as a free lunch”; while we always try to support the ELT industry as best as we can, we also believe that nothing good in life comes free.
At Gallery Teachers, our courses are both knowledge and experience-based, presenting a great academic value to new and more experienced teachers alike.
There are three ways of accessing Gallery Teachers courses and workshops. You may…
- subscribe to PRO Membership – this will allow you unlimited access to most of our workshops
- join an ELT organisation which has an Organisation PRO account with Gallery Teachers
- purchase workshop individually.
Purchasing any of our TEFL courses will also give you one year of access to most of the workshops.
If you are a PRO Member or you have purchased one of our TEFL courses which give you free access to the Gallery Teachers Workshop Library, you will find all workshops listed as £0.00 for you to purchase. You still have to go through the checkout process but no payment needs to be made.
What Our Online Workshops And Courses Look Like
All training we provide on the website uses the same LMS; therefore, our web learning courses follow the same hierarchy presented below.
A small workshop may only have one lesson and no quiz, while a large course will have a number of modules divided into many lessons.
Our TEFL courses consist of multiple sub-courses (i.e. Core Modules and Assessment Module), with each sub-course typically containing more than one module or unit.
Every course will consist of a homepage providing you with the necessary introductory information about the course. It will also give you an overview of the entire course, including schedules, course modules and lessons as well as your current progress.
In each lesson, you will find navigation buttons at the bottom of the page that will take you to the next lesson.
You will work through the course by completing all available lessons. and you will be able to monitor your progress using the course progression sidebar. Please note that if you are using a mobile phone, the sidebar will not be displayed.
Once you have completed all lessons and you have passed the end of course test (where applicable) you will receive your certificate via email. You can also download your certificate from the “My Courses” page.
To join a live session or a webinar, you will first have to gain access to the course or workshop via purchase as described above.
Our live sessions use an online webinar application called RingCentral, which is similar to Zoom. When you are registered for the course or workshop through purchase, you will see a Live Session Sign-up Link in the order confirmation email. You will also be able to see the Live Session Sign-up Box in the schedule section of the workshop; note that the Live Session Sign-up Box will not be displayed unless you have purchased the course.
Once you have signed up for the live session using either the Sign-up Link or the Sign-up Box, you will receive an email confirmation as well as scheduled reminders. You can access the live session through the link you have received in your email 15 minutes prior to the start time. The link is unique to your account, do not share it with anyone else.
You do not need to download the RingCentral meeting app as it functions well in your standard browser. However, if you are a panellist or regularly attend our live sessions, we recommend that you download the app for the best experience.
We use a colour coding system as shown below to keep you informed of the lesson availability. You will not be able to access lessons that are greyed out. When a lesson becomes available for the first time, you will receive an email notification to inform you that you may now view that lesson.
After a Live Session, it will usually take around 7 days for the Recorded Session to become available. It makes no difference if you have attended the live workshop or watched its recording, you will receive a certificate either way.
How do I register for a workshop?
You have to purchase the workshop first, if you are a PRO Member or a TEFL learner, the price will be reduced to £0.00- follow the checkout instructions. After your purchase, you can access the full course content and, most importantly, the Live Session Sign Up box will become visible to enable you to sign up for the Live Session using RingCentral Webinar.
How do I access my certificate?
Your certificate will be sent to you via email once you have successfully completed the course. You may also view your certificate and list of courses on the “My Courses” page.
Where can I find all of my workshops?
You can find the entire list of workshops in the Workshop Library, or check what live sessions or events are coming up using the Events page. To find the courses or workshops you have started, visit the My Courses page.
What is the passcode required in the workshop quiz?
You will not be able to complete a workshop lesson without a passcode, which will be provided to you at the end of the Live Session and in the Recordings. This is to ensure that the workshop certificate is only given to people who have attended the Live Session or have watched recordings of the session.
