Reviews
Disappointment
Not a good experience. Did not find the material to be sufficient. No guidance for teaching 1v1, business English, teaching online lessons. All stuff which can be found in most other TEFL courses. The platform and website are severely dated, often had errors and the drag and drop style exercises are extremely frustrating.
Most annoyingly, about halfway through the course I started receiving an email every time I completed a lesson. There is no where to turn off this function and the help desk has been unable to make it stop 100+ emails later.
I took this course because it is associated with TELC. I guess it is valuable to have that certificate but much more useful information can be found by reading just about any teach EFL book for much cheaper.
Available teaching skills are worthy for all teachers.
Hi dear stuff. I am a teacher at a high school in my hometown. Today l would like to share with you a good teaching skills. And of course they are from my own experience. Firstly, I believe that effective discussion clubs can help with career advancement, as they indicate, creativity, critical thinking skills, leadership abilities, pois and professionalism, qualities which are valuable for every teachers. Secondly, traditional teaching method is far an educator to stand in frond of the classroom and deliver information about the subject. In this classic lecture style students are passive participants. In other words, they only receive information. As far as, l am concerned, the effective use of digital learning tools in classrooms can increase student engagement and help teachers to increase thier lesson plans, facilitate personalised learning. Of course methods which we have learned in this course will be very effective in future career development. They also help student build essential 21st century skills.
So than l will constantly use technological resources while conducting my lessons. They are interactive online quizzes which are kahoots and quizlet. Virtual games and simulations where students put knowledge into action. A small board and interactive portable whiteboard where students can diagram a sentence or more. In fact all of them are becoming integral part of our life.
There are so many effective methods that you can use effectively and undeniable thing that you should always try to be the best teacher amount your colleague.
Great TEFL course to do alongside working
This course is perfect for me, except for a few difficulties with the format of certain tasks like matching exercises which can be hard to do as you have to scroll up and down a lot

This qualification is at an initial teacher training level and is offered to native and non-native speakers of English who are at least 18 years old and are looking to start a career in English teaching. The qualification does not require candidates to have a degree and it assumes no prior teaching experience.

Our Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Course also includes the Gallery Teachers 20-hour Language Awareness & Grammar Course as an introduction to grammar rules and terminology that will boost your confidence and pre-course knowledge, by raising your language awareness.
This is important because the TEFL course is a teaching methodology programme, not a language course; therefore, there will be no explicit grammar teaching during the course. There will however be references to grammar terminology and concepts throughout the course, in particular in the Teaching Grammar Module. The Language Awareness Course will give you an overview of grammar and help you understand the important grammar points in order to prepare you for the course.
You will have access to the grammar course throughout the course as a reference.
At the end of the course, you will receive a Gallery Teachers certificate with an individual verification number. Embossed hard copy certificate is also available free of charge and can be posted worldwide on request.
The 180-Hour TEFL certificate is issued by Gallery Teachers and is recognised worldwide and usually sufficient for obtaining English teaching jobs in most non-majority English-speaking countries. This certificate can be verified and notarized.

The truth is, you get what you pay for. Quite often you will find courses with poorly compiled and organised PDFs or e-books and without any face-to-face training with an experienced trainer. These courses will not prepare you for starting a career in teaching English as a foreign language.
Gallery Teachers is a well-known brand in the EFL industry and your certificate will carry more weight with employers.
Regulated qualifications from a reputable provider give you the assurance that your achievement is real and authoritative.
The certificate you will receive on completion of our Level 3 and Level 5 TEFL Certification Courses will contain the UK Regulator’s (Ofqual) logo along with the full qualification title and qualification number.
Some of the TEFL courses you find online are not regulated despite promoting as one. While some claim “endorsed” by an Ofqual-regulated organisation, this is not the same as being regulated.
You can check for Gallery Teachers or other providers on the Ofqual Registers, if you can’t find it, then chances are the course is not regulated.
