“I can’t get the stupid thing to work!” Natural English listening practice

Technology! For better or for worse we’re really stuck with it now, aren’t we? And with computers, apps, software and websites about a million things can go wrong. And about a million things do go wrong.
I’ve been teaching online since 2015 and I noticed something interesting.
Although most of my students are quite a high level and can talk quite fluently on economics, politics and even philosophy, as soon as something goes wrong with their computer, their English goes to pot.
There’s a specific set of language we need to talk about computer frustrations.
And computer frustrations have now become an everyday thing.
So I decided to capture them in this video.
Prepare to be frustrated!
