Safeguarding Basic Awareness Course
Find out about what duty of care adults have when working with students in the UK and what to do if a safeguarding situation should arise.
Everyone working with children in the UK needs to complete basic awareness training in safeguarding. Learn about or refresh your knowledge of safeguarding with this updated course prepared for 2022.
Why is This Course Important
In the United Kingdom and many other countries, schools with students under the age of 18 have a legal ‘duty of care’ to safeguard those students. Therefore it is compulsory for everyone working with the organisation to understand safeguarding and their ‘duty of care’ responsibilities. The training starts here with this specially designed course.
In this course, you will be introduced to:
- Safeguarding
- Child Protection
- Recognising and Responding to Abuse
- The Government’s ‘Prevent’ Strategy
” … safeguarding children is one of the most valuable things we do for international students in the UK; it is very important that we get it right… “

Reviews
The most interesting detail was about vulnerable students and how we can identify them and help them.
I have gained all the important information related to the students, and what precautions and methods are and cab be adopted to protect them and how we can help them from any mental, physical abuse.
Very practical and visual course
This course has nicely organized and condensed information about safeguarding points that must be completed in work with under-18. I got to know some types of abuse which were unknown before to me. I realize that the UK laws about safeguarding policy may be different from those in other countries but if working in the UK one must obey its laws.
Essential but could be summarised
This is essential information but could be made a little shorter and more succinct.
