I’m absolutely melting here and I’m not even exaggerating. My Fiat 500’s AC compressor decided to call it quits right in the middle of this brutal heatwave, and now I’m driving around with the windows down like I’m in some kind of budget convertible, except it’s not fun at all, it’s just hot and noisy and miserable. I took it to a general garage near my place in JLT and they told me I needed a whole new compressor, quoted me something insane, and said it would take at least four days to get the part and do the work, which I just can’t afford, time-wise or money-wise. I use my car for work and I can’t be without it for that long, especially not when the weather is like this. A friend of mine who drives a Punto mentioned that if you need fast repairs, you should book fast Fiat repairs in Al Quoz Industrial Area because there are a few specialists there who actually keep common Fiat parts in stock and can turn jobs around much quicker than the general garages. That sounds exactly like what I need because I’m really struggling without AC and I can’t wait around for days while the dealer or a slow workshop drags their feet. Has anyone here used a workshop in that area for AC work on their Fiat and had a good experience? I just want someone who can diagnose properly, get the right compressor, fit it quickly, and not charge me a fortune for the privilege. Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated because I’m desperate to get my cool air back.
