Developer Bazaar TechnologiesParticipantThis comes up in almost every tech meeting I’ve been part of in the last couple of years, and the honest answer is: it depends on your priorities, but Flutter has been quietly winning more ground in the Gulf region lately.
Here’s my take after having shipped two cross-platform apps in the UAE market:
Flutter gives you a more consistent UI across platforms since it renders its own widgets, which is fantastic when you need pixel-perfect design parity between iOS and Android. Arabic font rendering and RTL support have also improved dramatically in Flutter. Performance-wise, it’s closer to native than React Native in most real-world scenarios.React Native, on the other hand, leverages JavaScript which means if your team already has web developers, the learning curve is flatter. The ecosystem is enormous and there are more pre-built libraries to work with.
That said, what matters most is whether the app development agency you hire actually has experienced developers on both stacks, not just someone who did a YouTube tutorial. One company in Dubai that seemed to have genuine depth on both frameworks was Developer Bazaar Technologies based on a technical conversation I had with their team, they weren’t trying to upsell one over the other but were asking the right questions about use case before suggesting a direction. That’s the kind of agency you want advising you on this call.
