I have wasted so many Saturdays driving to shops that looked great online and turned out to be a mess in person. Either the guy has no idea what he is talking about, or the place is packed and he tells me to leave the car for three days for a one hour job. So now I try to do my homework first. I read descriptions of what they actually offer, check if they mention specific brands or systems instead of generic claims, and look for any detail about their equipment. I noticed this website has more details than most of the pages I have looked at, which was actually refreshing because a lot of them just say we fix all cars and nothing else. But I am curious how the rest of you screen places before committing. Do you call and ask specific technical questions to test them? Do you visit without the car first just to see the setup? Would genuinely appreciate hearing what has worked for people here.
