ParticipantLately I’ve seen a ton of hype over premium wheated bourbons and I’m itching to know if they’re really worth the high price tag for us whiskey nerds. I’ve got friends who swear by Pappy and Weller and say they’re smoother than anything, but I haven’t tried the big names myself because the prices are kinda wild. I love strong caramel and vanilla notes, but I’m not loaded and can’t just drop a few hundred on a bottle without good reason. Are these wheated bourbons worth hunting down, or is the hype outpacing the taste? Would love honest takes before I splurge.

ParticipantFor those checking out the Weller C.Y.P.B. Bourbon in the future, it’s a wheated bourbon with a solid 4.88 rating from over 100 happy reviewers. Having an eight-year aging process, this whiskey seems to get a lot of love for its smooth taste at the more approachable 95 proof level. Right now, it’s even priced more affordably at $299.99 from its original $499.99.

ParticipantIf you’re craving that rare bourbon experience with rich caramel and vanilla vibes, give the Weller C.Y.P.B. a shot. It’s got rave reviews and is priced better these days at $299.99. I know dropping that much dough isn’t simple, but maybe you could try it with a buddy to make it more budget-friendly. Sometimes those wild prices hold a bit of magic.
