I found this lesson perticularly useful. Although I have been gradually adding more of the techniques from previous modules to my classes, this module has brought it all together nicely.
I agree that this module has some extremely useful ideas about teaching pronunciation which teachers can icorporate into their lessons.
I like the ideas presented in this module. Very often teachers don’t pay much attention to teaching pronunication. There can be a number of reasons for this: students don’t like it, it may seem boring, etc. But we should remember that one of the keys to successful communication is pronuncation. If you can express yourself clearly, there will be no problems with interacting.
This module is really challenging, I think that a non native English teacher needs to practice a lot, I’m speaking for myself of course, but great ways to teach pronunciation.

Of course the module is great but for non-native teachers it’s definitely challenging ;-)!
The module seemed even more challenging than the the Teaching grammar module, but a lot has been learnt from here.
Much attention is usually not payed to pronunciation but now I know better. Students need it in order to be able to communicate.Yes I agree. It was really clallenging but useful at the same time.
I agree, I found this module challenging but very engaging! I hadn’t thought about all the technicalities of pronunciation in as much detail before.
This module really understand better how to teach pronunciation which is a wide topic to cover. Teaching it in all lessons will really help students improve their communication skills in all aspects.
Seriously this particular module looks boring but it very useful. when you are teaching pronunciation and you don’t prepare enough, students might end up not concentrating or liking the module. Therefore when one is to teach this module he or she will have to prepare adequately and use all techniques involved.
This module was full of a lot of practical exercises and I enjoyed being reminded about the phonemic chart. I recall my teachers’ didn’t focus so much on this when I was a child. I think is section is imperative at the beginning for every student and I really like the suggestion of having it for every lesson. This was extremely helpful. I learnt a lot.

– plenty of, different and varied approaches, all of them involving and well-presentedI found this Module so useful and well-designed. There were some aspects personally I didn’t use at my lessons – IPA chart, associating phonemes, representing the number of syllables. The tips which were given in this Module have helped me to make drilling more joyful and encouraging.
I agree with you about the importance of IPA chart – I will difinitely use it on my lessons from now on.
I found this module to be rather quick, well-organized and giving many useful tips for developing pronunciation, such as teaching word stress, connected speech, intonation, ways of drilling.
This module made me face one of my weaknesses in English: Pronunciation. It has always seemed to me to be the most complex part, especially when English is not my mother tongue. However, with constant practice and listening to native speakers, watching TV programmes, listening podcasts, etc., it helps to strengthen the ear and helps to improve the pronunciation.
