GTEFLKeymasterReflect on what has been covered and agree or disagree with the information presented in this module.
Look back through the material and/or your notes and summarise and reflect further on
- how you found the Module and the way you have felt;
- the skills you have seen and practised in this Module.
You do not need to write an essay, just some thoughts on what you have learned. You can use bullet points.
Remember to read at least two other postings and choose one of these to post a response.

InactiveThis module was easier than the previous ones because we are already familiar with the structure of a speaking skills lesson. Writing and speaking are both productive skills so they have a lot in common.
I like the way the information is presented and find it extremely useful for everyone who wants to improve their teaching skills.- 6th August 2021 at 6:09 pm #340114

GuestI also find this module easier compared to previous ones, I don’t know if it’s because of the familiarities with speaking skills module or because I was happy of the process approach.

GuestI found this module easier too. I have used similar correction codes previously although not exactly the same as this one. I think it has helped learning about teaching speaking skills first.

GuestYes, I will agree with you that this module was easier than the previous one. All the material is very nicely organized, everything can be explained and put into separate blocks.

GuestI find this module easier than the previous ones. I got the opportunity to add to things I knew but couldn’t explain. Especially, the use of correction codes.
Back in school, teachers only focused on the Product approach, hence we struggled to produce the final results. Knowing you can use the process approach too or even combine both is refreshing. I enjoyed this module.- 3rd September 2021 at 6:35 pm #343004

GuestIt was not easier for me, the correction code is something we are not used to in my country. But i think we can use it effectively during peer correction

GuestI found this module challenging especially in the correction tasks; it was a little bit confusing as i was not used to the correction code. But i now know how to plan writing lessons and how to correct students.

GuestThe same here, I´m not that familiar with those correction codes. I consider, more practice is needed in order to get used to them.

GuestI found this topic completely easy because it was as though we are repeating the previous topic, this topic has a lot of things in common with the previous topics and I really enjoyed the topic for it’s versatility.

GuestI really enjoy writing so naturally I really enjoyed this topic. I thought it was easy to follow and learning the two approaches to teaching writing was interesting. It kind of reminded me of the top down bottom up approach that’s taken to teach speaking but slightly easier. This module taught me the different ways of teaching writing and also the importance of working collaboratively during the process approach. Also the correction codes and the different methods of correction (delayed, immediate etc) was also new to me and interesting to learn

GuestI learned a lot about different writing methods. The Process Approach was really unique and lengthy. I am unsure how to make the codes for correction but I found it interesting. Awesome methods.

GuestI enjoyed this module, useful and interesting, too!
It’s worth reflecting on the 2 main approaches and on the possibility to blend them up.
What I really liked is the collaboration behind the writing itself as I strongly believe in the motto “sharing is caring” and – I’d add – “sharing is learning and broadening one’s horizons”. - 5th March 2023 at 10:33 am #393444

GuestI truly enjoyed the module. especially when I found out that we can take elements of both approaches and integrate them. I also liked the idea of redrafting. Because I have never done that before. I always gave students time for only one drafting, Not two.

GuestThis module was interesting to me as well as the previous. I learned a lot: the two approaches of writing, the stages of writing process, the way to give feedback and the correction code. All the tips for a successful writing lesson are very relevant and useful.
