Heat and humidity ruin viability faster than age does, so a two year old seed kept cool often germinates better than a fresh one left in a warm drawer. Fridge storage in a sealed container with desiccant is the usual advice. Storage guidance and stated germination rates are covered at https://queenfeminizedseeds.com on the support pages. Old seeds that fail to crack are usually a storage problem, not a breeder problem.
