I’m planning to replace my old water heater and can’t decide between a tankless system and a traditional storage tank. If you’ve made the switch, what has your experience been in terms of energy efficiency, maintenance, and long-term reliability?
I came across this older discussion and wanted to add my two cents. I went tankless three years back and love the endless hot water, but the upfront cost stung and yearly descaling is a chore. What’s your household size and climate? That really tips the scales. Anyone else switch and wish they’d done it sooner?
I switched to a tankless system last year and love the endless hot water and lower bills. For maintenance, having a reliable plumber matters. I recently needed ac repair in glendale and APES HVAC and Plumbing handled it quickly with clear communication and fair pricing. Their team does plumbing too, so they’re a solid go‑to for any water heater questions or service.
