I’m not finished watching and listening to this yet but had to say this is one of the clearest short courses I’ve seen in a long time. I’m actually taking notes – normally I don’t bother, and then don’t fully benefit from a course I’ve paid for and taken the time to study, but now I am, because it’s clear, interesting, well-explained (I actually understand it!) and at a good pace. I’ve actually had ideas already on how to put this into practice with my students, and I am very impressed. Bargain course, and I’d love to see more on the other elements of learning English!
It has been one of the most fruitful webinars I have ever watched. As Neil Harris mentioned, listening should never be considered as a passive/receptive skill. We teachers need to find alternative ways to help our students improve their subskills from the very first day. The examples provided were to the point. Thank you so much for this clear, informative and well-organized speech.
