Have a quick think about the reflective questions below in order to get the most out of the workshop:
1. What builds your confidence?
2. What knocks your confidence?
3. Have you ever lost your confidence in the classroom? If so, what did you do?
4. If you could give a teaching lacking in confidence five words of wisdom, what would they be?
1. What builds your confidence?
Taking a risk and trying something new during a lesson; whether it works out as planned or not, I always feel like it was worth trying and I have more confidence and less hesitation to take other risks in the future.
1.- Having willing students and a supportive team
2.- Disrespect and lack of interest
3.- No,I have never done it in class, nor in front of my students or peers.I have licked my wounds in a quiet corner.
4.- That will depend on what really is affecting the lack of confidence. We can’t always blame students for it.
