Urgent help – Q5 stuck in limp mode near MBZ City

I’m in a bit of a panic right now and hoping someone can point me in the right direction. My 2016 Q5’s transmission just gave up on me while I was driving near the MBZ City area – the “gearbox malfunction” warning flashed up, and the car immediately lost all power and refused to shift above 3rd gear. I managed to limp it to a safe spot, but I can’t drive it any further and I urgently need to find a workshop that can properly diagnose and fix a ZF 8-speed. I’ve heard there are a few places in the Musaffah Industrial area that might be able to handle it, but I’m really wary of just picking one at random because I’ve heard so many horror stories about transmission repairs gone wrong. I need to find a garage offering expert automatic transmission repair service in MBZ City or nearby, somewhere that actually has the right diagnostic tools and technicians who know these gearboxes inside out. The car has about 120,000 kilometers on it and I’ll be honest – I’ve never had the transmission fluid changed since I bought the car used, so I’m worried I might have left it too late and the damage is already done. If anyone in the Abu Dhabi area has had a positive experience with a transmission specialist, please let me know ASAP – I need to get the car towed somewhere today and I don’t want to make the wrong call and end up with a bigger bill than necessary. I’m really hoping it’s something that can be fixed without a full replacement, but at this point I just want it sorted by someone who genuinely knows what they’re doing.
