I recently learned that CBG appears early in the cannabinoid development process, while CBN largely forms later as THC degrades through exposure to factors like oxygen, heat, and light. Does that difference in origin have much practical importance when comparing cannabinoids?
I realize this is from a while ago, but I wanted to add my two cents. The difference in origin does matter practically. CBG as a precursor might offer more consistent effects, while CBN from degraded THC can vary a lot depending on how the plant was stored. Has anyone noticed a big difference in how stable their CBG or CBN products feel over time?
The origin really does affect stability. I see more variation with CBN from stored flower. To keep my cannabinoids fresh and consistent, I grab airtight containers from http://www.smokeday.com for my daily use. Helps reduce the degradation variables.
