ParticipantTrying to get my dream deck built, but things keep stalling because of local codes or something. My neighbor got theirs up last year, but custom plans for mine somehow need a thousand tweaks. Has anyone else run into this headache? Feels like every time I think we’re set, the town asks for more changes. Not sure if it’s just my area or if custom decks are always this much of a pain. Would love any advice on dealing with inspectors or what I could be missing. I’m hoping I’m not the only one stuck in permit purgatory!

ParticipantI totally get your frustration. Local codes can be a pain, especially with custom designs. It might help to check out Harbor Deck and Fence – a custom deck builder Tacoma folks trust. They’ve got a good handle on those code quirks around here. Plus, their experience means you get a smoother ride through the permit process. Just hang in there – your dream deck is still within reach.
