Ancient wonders of the world:
- Can you name the seven wonders of the world? Which monument interests you the most and why?
- How many, if any, of the wonders of the world have you visited? If not, which ones would you like to visit in the future?
- Are any of the wonders of the world in your country? If not, are there any monuments in your home country you would like to be added to the list and why?
- Have you ever visited a historical monument or area of natural beauty that you thought was underrated (or overrated)?
- What do you think about the way we classify historically or environmentally significant locations?
How to best conserve historical monuments and natural wonders
- How did you feel about the news story of the tourist this summer who carved names onto the walls of the Colosseum?
- Have you visited the Colosseum in Rome? Were you surprised at this story?
- How do you think historical monuments or areas of outstanding natural beauty best be protected from damage from tourism?
- Overall, is tourism a net positive or net negative to popular cities and countries?
- How can we best conserve historical monuments and natural wonders?
- Who should pay for the preservation of these important places? Tax payers in the country? Tourists? Philanthropists? The international community?
