ParticipantThe information in the module will bring tremendous change in my teaching method.
The lead-in should be more engaging and communicative.
Less teacher talk time and more student-centered.
Avoiding explanations instead elicit information should be the goal.
A teacher is a facilitator, not an explainer.
By asking questions instead of bombarding them with the answers. - 12th May 2024 at 7:35 pm #424233

ParticipantI would like to start the lesson by showing a small clip of a pet store and asking them to select a pet for themselves and not say it out loud. At the end of the video, they can announce which animal would they like as their pet.
Second, ask them if they have seen the movie ‘PETS” and then discuss its funny moments as a lead-in. - 12th May 2024 at 1:44 pm #424227

ParticipantIt’s important for the students to like their teacher. If the teacher is biased and has their favourite student picked, can cause a rift among other students. Therefore, a teacher has to be kind, empathetic and fun.

ParticipantI wanted to say that a good student is someone motivated and self-driven but we all know you cannot be that every day. Rather a good student is someone who has his bad days but in the end, he/she has their goals set. I believe that a good student is open to new ideas and challenges and keeps going.
